2017 – 2018 – 4 months
Take Care is a serious game created to help young people (16-25 years old) know more about their health rights.
In this narrative game, you play as Farid a French student who has to make important decisions in his new life on a new city.
The only interface is a smartphone UI.
Take Care was released on May 2018 on the Play Store and App Store.
I worked with the game designers on this. I tested mechanics to make the game designers what we can do with them. With this method, we can see if we will use them or we should create other bricks of gameplay.
It was important to keep a track on game features to communicate with all the dev team.
My job here was to take the dialogs written by our author and bring them into the script. Link texts, conversations, events, achievements, and in-game interactions.
It was an important task since in this game, dialogs ARE gameplay. It was also important to create dialogs that would fit to the characters and the audience (16-25 years old).
I was project manager on this project. I followed the tasks of our developer and made reports on the dev progression and was the man-in-the-middle between the design/graph team and the developer.
Those were used to polish the game. I also worked to improve or add signs and feedback for this project. It was a lot of work (especially for the beta milestone) but a great opportunity to learn a lot about mobile development.
I set a bug tracker database (on Mantis Bug Tracker) and was in charge of test plans, testing, harvesting bug reports and putting them on the database. Then I prioritized bugs.
